AI video generator pricing (October 2026): Kling vs Veo vs Runway vs PixVerse
Short answer: PixVerse V6 is the cheapest per clip at $0.21 (API). Plans start at Google AI Plus $4.99/mo for Veo in Flow; PixVerse/Kling Standard $10/mo; Runway Standard $15/mo. AI Pro is best plan value (~$0.40/Veo clip). For $/s and “software price,” use cost per second — this page is monthly plans.
API prices for one 4-second 720p clip: PixVerse V6 on PixVerse's API, the others on the Runway Dev API. On Google's own Gemini API the same Veo clip lists at $0.40.
Pay per clip on PixVerse V6 if you make under ~30 clips a month and can use an API.
- Lowest cost. $0.21 a 4-second clip with sound, $6.40 for 30
- No expiring credits. You pay only for what you generate
- Setup. Needs an API key and a tool that calls it; scored 7.1/10
Google AI Pro if you want a top-scoring model in an app.
- Price. $19.99 a month for 50 Veo 3.1 Fast clips in Flow, about $0.40 each
- Quality. Veo scored 7.2/10, tied for first
- 8 s for the price of 4. A Veo Fast clip costs the same credits at 4, 6 or 8 seconds

PixVerse Standard if you want an app, not an API.

- Watermark-free. 720p, 1,200 + 60 a day credits
- Clip count unknown. PixVerse doesn't publish V6 app credits per clip

- Quality. Gen-4.5 came last at 6.9/10 and has no native audio (is it worth it?)

FAQ
AI video generator pricing vs cost per second — which page?
This page is monthly plans, credits and yearly list prices. Cost per second is dollars per second of API output and “AI video generation software price” queries. Lowest paid clip: cheapest.
How much does AI video generation cost?
Two ways to read it: monthly plans (this page) and dollars per second of API output. Plans start at Google AI Plus $4.99/mo; the API rates we paid were about $0.21–$0.60 per 4-second 720p clip. For the per-second and "software price" angle, see AI video generator cost per second. For the lowest paid clip, see cheapest AI video generator.
What is the cheapest AI video generator plan?
Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month. Its 200 monthly Google Flow credits cover 10 Veo 3.1 Fast clips. Among the dedicated video apps, PixVerse Standard is $10 a month ($8 billed yearly) and Kling Standard lists at $10 ($6.60 billed yearly). Runway Standard is $15 ($12 yearly). Prices checked October 18, 2026. See also cheapest per clip and cost per second.
What's the cheapest paid plan?
Google AI Plus at $4.99/mo is the cheapest paid plan we list with a top-scoring model (Veo). PixVerse Standard and Kling Standard both list at $10/mo. Intent split: this page is plans; cost per second is $/s and software-price queries; cheapest ranks pay-per-clip winners.
How much does Kling AI cost?
Kling's Basic plan is free but has no monthly credits. Standard lists at $10 a month for 660 a month, or $79.20 for a year. Pro lists at $37 a month for 3,000 credits and is the cheapest plan with Kling 4.0. On October 18, 2026 Kling showed first-month discounts, so the price you see may be lower. Through the API we paid $0.52 per 4-second Kling 3.0 clip with audio.
How much does Runway cost?

How much does PixVerse cost?
Basic is free with 60 starting credits plus 30 a day, at up to 540p with a watermark. Standard is $10 a month ($8 billed yearly) for 1,200 credits plus 60 a day, at 720p without a watermark. Pro ($30, or $24 yearly) unlocks up to 4K. Through PixVerse's API we paid $0.21 per 4-second V6 clip with audio.
Is a subscription or pay-per-clip cheaper?
Pay-per-clip is cheaper for light use: 30 four-second clips cost $6.40 on PixVerse V6 and $14.40–$18.00 on the others at the API prices we paid. APIs need a developer account and some setup, though. In an app, Google AI Pro works out to about $0.40 a Veo clip if you use every credit.
